Hi. I’m Giorgio Gaudio,
Interaction Designer.
Hi. My name is Giorgio.
Interaction designer, based in Italy.
Right now I’m a research fellow at the Politecnico di Torino, finishing a master’s in interaction design at SUPSI, and working on platforms, conversational AI agents and interactive objects. Not the interface, the behaviour: what an agent may say, when it has to stop and hand a decision back to a person, and how it admits it isn’t sure.
I came to this from industrial design at IAAD, then usability and software for Italian companies, then three years in Basel on European Commission projects. Along the way I chose contexts where a mistake still costs something: healthcare, rehabilitation, public transport, energy.

DesignResearch
Understand the situation before proposing anything. Time with the people who will live with the thing, where they will live with it, and with the people paying for it. What comes back is usually a different problem from the one in the brief, and finding that out early is the whole job.

Product &Interaction
Turn the finding into a form. What the thing is made of, in what order, and what happens at each step, before anything about how it looks. Then how it looks and how it moves, which is where it stops being a diagram and starts being usable.

Prototypingin Code
Make it real enough to be wrong about. A drawing can only pose the question; something that runs answers it, and answers it while there is still time and budget to act on the answer.
- Working prototypes
- Computer vision and sensors
- Embedded interfaces
- Front-end implementation

AI AgentExperience
Not a later step but a kind of product, and it runs through all three above. When software decides what to say to someone, the behaviour is the design: what it may say, how it adapts to who is asking, when it stops and hands the decision back to a person, and how it admits it is not sure.
- System prompt and behaviour design
- Guardrails, escalation and human validation
- Conversation and disclosure design
- Grounding answers in verifiable sources
