Razor - Industrial design

Razor is a hall stand born out of the collaboration between InThings and the artist Andrea Villa. It’s an object that sparkles, reflects and captures the attention of what is usually hidden.

A part of the proceeds will be donated to the Itaca Onlus Project, a foundation that promotes information, prevention, support and rehabilitation programmes addressed to people with mental health disorders and their families.

“I wanted to represent the discouragement and discomfort of the new generations. The razor has a hall stand shape because youth self-harm and anti-conservative attempts are something very intimate and common, like the objects we have in our homes. My new series of pieces of work is concentrated in showing how often what we consider dangerous or noxious is present in our daily lives.”

The hall stand is totally made in Italy. With its pop and irreverent soul, it suits all kinds of furniture. It’s entirely made of steel, with precision handmade engravings and finishing touches.
